Balo is a simple and free set of online tools, that connects property managers with tenants, landlords and their properties.

We believe we’ve created the easiest way to manage your property and relationships. Basics like listing services, rental CVs and applications, rent collection, routine inspections and automated maintenance are standard included workflows, and eliminating the need for trust accounting, its a smarter way to manage property.

About Us

Frustration doesn’t begin to describe how difficult it can be to find a place to rent. Countless applications, numerous open for inspections, and unpredictable pricing, have made finding a place to call home an arduous task.

Discouraged by the process, we sought to find a simple way to find and rent property – we ironed out the experience in consultation with tenants, industry experts, real estate agents, and government. What we developed was Balo – a free collaborative platform that connects tenants, landlords, agents and tradies to foster open and transparent property management.

As renters, we knew it was important to create an application that could be re-submitted and shared to secure a tenancy, so we created the Rental CV. A dynamic profile that showcases one’s affordability, character and rental history, so you never have to fill out an application again. Balo also finds properties for you so you don’t have to.

We wanted to make it simple to pay and collect rent, and offer tenants, landlords, agents a number of ways to do so. A flexible payments platform for single, recurring or escrow payments – eliminating the need for any trust accounting – seriously.

As landlords, we wanted to be kept in the loop in terms of tenant selection, rent collection, how our tenants were faring and major repairs – and be part of the decision making process if we wanted to. The ability to monitor our assets 24/7.

Agents use Balo’s simple tools to manage the relationship between landlords, property managers, tradies and tenants. Balo helps agents place tenants with suitable homes, collect and manage money, and inspect and maintain properties in their portfolio.

We’ve made Balo free and rely on tenants and agents to use Balo in keeping it that way. We’re a small startup with big dreams, and rely on word-of-mouth to help us on our journey.
